The end is near

In these paragraphs I am going to answer four questions and then tell by viewers why I said yes or no to the questions. Here are the questions that my teacher asked us to reflect on.

1. What piece of work and learning are you most proud? Explain.
The piece of work that I am most proud of is my second to last lit circle that was about the book tripods. The reason I chose this certain lit circle is because I think that this one shows how effort I can put into work. I also chose this one because I thought that the lit circle was good quality writing but also a good amount. I also think this tells you a lot about the book and characters and how they think. This also shows that I have improved on my weakest part of doing the lit circles which making questions. Another thing that I improved on was writing enough so that there is a lot of detail. I would also say that this part of the book was the most interesting because I was able to write a lot about it. I also connected well because a lot of the things he went through in the chapter I have gone through.
2. What were your greatest challenges? Explain.
I also think that one certain thing that was hard this year was that in humanities you had to be organized and that is one thing that I am not. I also think that I had to learn not to argue with people about things and instead just take one for the team. I also think that there had to be more focusing and less joking around in middle school. Another thing that was hard was transferring from fifth grade to sixth grade. The reason it was hard to transfer was because we had written a lot more in a paragraph compared to fifth grade. We also had to include a lot more structure and also had to make it organized so that it flows and not making it hard to understand.
3. Reflecting on your growth this year, what did you learn about yourself as a learner?

The thing that I have improved on the mostly is thinking of I dears to write for and it was not only thinking of I dears it is not always just think of I dears it has to be good I dears. I also have improved in extending my paragraphs because that was a hard thing to do when I first came into sixth grade. I also had a problem with the computers because they are a different type of computers than I had in my old school. I have grown this year in be coming more easy going with people than I was in my last school. I also have improved in becoming more open to talking in class and also becoming more involved in class and giving more effort. I think that I have also improved in my story making.

I chose satisfactory because I am not a model or a big trouble maker I am just in the middle even though I am not always the best student. I still talk sometimes when he is talking but not much and I get most of my work done now a days and do work in class. I think that I am not rude to the teacher I respect the teacher and I do what he has asked me to do and also pay attention in class. I also think that I am nice to my friends and people in my class but if they are mean to me I am not very nice to them and I need to work on that.

6.Is there any more information about yourself that you would like the teachers to know?

That I am quite loud in class that i joke around in class and that I like sports but not talking about them.

7. What was your favorite activity lesson in Humanities this year? What did you enjoy about it?

My favorite activity lesson in humanities this year was the treasure hunt because I like treasure hunts and it was also fun because is was something different for a change. I like the treasure hunt because I also had fun learning how to get around this school and I also learned how get along with certain people and I also have to become more open minded because people have different ways of doing things than me.

8. What activity do you wish we could have spent more time on?

I wish we could have spent more time on making the e mobile because they were a lot of fun and we were able to make stuff with our hands. Another reason I liked making the e mobile was because we got learn interesting things about different Empires and what made what they are. I also think that we had to think of a design and that way we did not have follow instructions of measurements because it is not easy to follow measurements. The reason that I chose this specific project was because I had fun doing a project with a boy instead of a girl. I personally think that boys are more easy going than girls and it was easier to work with a boy than a girl.

9. Finally, cast your minds back to the first few months of middle school (when you arrived in Grade 6 ) what "Words of Wisdom" or "Advice" could you pass on to the Class of 2018?

I think that should be ready for being organized and also being ready to write long paragraphs and also be ready to have problems with locks and locker combinations Forgetting P.E clothes.

Dear, family and citizens of Wherton
I am safe so don't worry about me because I am far away from home so there is no chance that you could come help me. I am writing to tell sorry for leaving so suddenly and I wish that I could have said good bye before leaving. I have taken on a very long journey and I wish you could be here with me but I cannot tell you where I am, If I were to tell you where I am it could risk my life and friends that I have come with to this place. I have two reasons why I left, the first one is because I say how Jack has changed after the capping and I do not want to end up like him. The second reason I ran away was because I met a man and he told me about this place with no tripods and if I went to a place where there was no tripods I would not need to be capped.


Now I am going to talk about my journey and which things I have faced and what things I have leaned about. Firstly I had to learn how to trust Henry because e could have left me alone with no food and I trusted him from then on. Another thing I have earned about is friendship me and Henry I have a strong friendship with a man that I have trust my live with. I have also seen a girl that I have fell in love with and I nearly risked being capped to stay with her. I also have fa by being picked up by a tripod and nearly being eaten by it and my hole journey would have been a waist. I also have faced pain when my friend had to cut a button out of my because the tripods put t on me and they were following me.

I also have Henry with me and he is safe so do not worry about him also he has no injuries and he has helped a lot on this journey. I have learned how smart the tripods and how people live with freedom and I also seen how evil the tripods. They are also very powerful and I know how powerful they are really and I have seen why they took over the world. I also have seen the world before the tripods took over the world and how smart the ancient were. I also have had to hid from them and I know how they work and what powers they have. I Have also learned about other society and how they work and I also have more of understanding about life and what it is worth. I also learned how society means different things to different things and what it is worth to other people.

Lit circle post #5

Without a free mind courage does not mean anything because a person who's mind is being controlled has no concept of what courage even means.When a person does not know the real meaning of courage there is no point of having courage. Knights fight because they want to stand out from everyone for having courage, that is being able to face danger or difficulty with no fear at all. They think it is courageous because that is what has happen told by the tripods because the caps. But the tripods have told them to do certain things which makes people feel courageous and at the same the tripods tell them to do it. I would also say that the man who killed the bear is a man that has no doubt he is courageous to the village but that is not the full it does not mean much if it is not your personality. I would bet that he is scared of tripods then he would not be courageous.

To be called courageous you need to have certain things you need to be able to set challenges for yourself so that you could be come known as a courageous person. For example Shrek the prince had to show he was courageous by going to slay the dragon and get the princes. They know what courage is but to us it does not mean anything because they have a mind that is controlled. So in my point of view I think that they are just people that are in a cartoon because they think that they are real. They have had that information kept from them so it is not mean anything. I have noticed all problems they have or unfair things that I noticed goes back to caps they are the reason why this life ids not worth it if your capped.

White Mountains Blogpost #3

I think that the tripods are able to control this human race because they are able to keep information from them. Also they are able to control the thoughts of te humans and that prevents them from thinking about things that they don't want them to. They also take away all types of technology which stops them from wondering abou thing that they should not be thinking about. I also say that the tripods are much bigger and strong and also are very advanced compered to what we used to be.

Will is disappointed that eloise,Comte and Comtesse are capped and he probably wanted them to come with him to White Mountains. When Will first met Eloise he liked her and when he saw her one of the first thing he looked at was to see if she was capped. I think that Eloise will always on Will's mind even when he goes to white Mountains. I also say that he feels comfortable in church even though Eloise Is capped.

In the book Will feels kind of scared because he is going to be capped after going on such a long journey from staying from capping. He reached out for her turban to see her cap and it fell off and she said nothing then looked at him angry started speaking firmly but quietly.Will think that she is the person for him and he want her to come with but she is capped and she is staying here. She also is turning into a women soon so she has to stay. but she does have fling for because she saved him from getting into a lot of trouble.

Blog post white Mountains #2

I think that Bean pole would be able to help because he is very smart and he also knows the land very well. If they didn't have beanpole with them they might not make it to White Mountains. Beanpole is also very smart and that means that he can use his mental abilities get them to White Mountains faster and safer. He could also help them with the language in case they get capture or comforted by someone. I also say that beanpole could benefit the group by his size because he is small and can slip throw narrow places.

Bean pole could also find out ways for them to move faster like when he got them onto that carriage. I also think that he finds grenades and he find some stuff about the thing that is protect them and the grenade could help them they got in trouble with that are strong. Beanpole is a smart person so he can make a lot of thing that has not been made yet. He has had a lot time to think to himself about science and what he is able to discover. So I think that beanpole is a benefit to the group because of how smart he is and also that he has grown up in this his whole life.

Reflection of Lit circle

I think that will is simular to me in the ways I am about to tell you. First I think will like me because he does not like to do things that he doesn't want to do. I think that he has that attitude because he is will to run away and never come back because he does not want to get capped. This would also make him brave because he is will to run away with no to help him but a map. I also think that he is adventurous like me because he like going down to a place where no one can do anything to him and jack and him hunt for food. He also is questioning and I know this because he is always asking questions.

He also is simular to me in a way that if he see's something unusual he would not stop try to see what makes that things unusual. I also think in that way for example I would see something and wonder bout and try and find out why it is unusual. I also can relate to him in a way that he can be very angry if he wants to but usually he doesn't get angry. He also has a problem sharing with people he doesn't like I am like that if someone has done something bad to me I find it hard to get over it. For example I hate sharing anything with my brother because a lot of the time he is trying to beat me up.

City Connections Reflections

I am going to reflect on my work of the most recent Topic.

I believe that I did well in giving a lot of information about what and why they would go there and why those type of people. I made sure to tell what resources they from that country and also if the people that were originally what them too come or not to come. I also explained what resources they had so that they could trade or sell to other countries. I think that I choose some good pictures that supported what I was saying in my presentation. I explained my notes in the detail so that there could be a full understanding of the history and economy of my country. I also found out which part of the Island was good to have a army base.

I thought that I showed the main rivers and that show's where most people would be staying.

I should have made a better introduction for my presentation and made it a bit more intriguing to the people listening. I could have also Included more facts about how the natural resource was found there helped the economy grow. I should have given more information about the races and religions that populated the country of Trinidad. I should have included a little bit more about which types of business do best in the country of Trinidad. I could have design my presentation better and make it intriguing to others. I could add something good to put at the end of my presentation.

I had to use a loud and clear voices so that everyone who was listening would be able hear loudly and clearly. I had to also stay still so that people would not become distracted from my presentation. I also prevented my self from forgetting what I needed to say so that the people listening could hear me. I learned from other people's presentations that the cities that they have lived in had a natural resource. I also learned that a lot of their cities were able to ship things out and have thing be shipped in. I noticed that the cities they lived in had some sort of protection from hills.

I could have presented with a more clear voice that would have helped people stay more focused on my presentation. I could have aimed my voice more at the crowd so the would hear me better. I should have also memorized my presentation better so that I could tell my presentation with more detail. I needed to use more expressions when I was presenting to the class. I could also use gestures so the people I am presenting to are intrigued to presentation and under stand well. I could have improved my word use and it would have been a more understandable.

So this is my Reflection on this unit of the reasons for why people moved there.
